Healthcare Assistant (HCA)
As a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), you will be the heart of our service. You will provide essential support to individuals in residential and community settings, ensuring they receive the highest standard of person-centred care while maintaining their dignity and independence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support under the direct supervision of nursing staff.
- Assist residents with personal care, including mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Conduct and document clinical observations such as fluid balance and temperature.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of clinical care provided.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).

Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a care setting is preferred

A caring, compassionate, and empathetic approach to patient care

Ability to follow care plans and instructions from senior staff

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Key Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience within a UK setting.
- Up-to-date mandatory clinical training certificates.
- Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the Update Service).
- Right to Work in the UK
- Experience in hospitals, care homes, or community care
- Knowledge of infection control and safeguarding procedures
- Training in Moving & Handling, First Aid, or Medication Administration
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for community roles
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) desirable
